Jack Liberty - Mr. Liberty is President and founder of Liberty Universal Management, the largest Retail Commercial Real Estate Brokerage firm in the Central Florida region. Mr. Liberty has developed a team at Liberty Universal Management that is based on industry experience, market intelligence, strategic thinking and relationships. Mr. Liberty brings over 30 years experience in the real estate business and is personally responsible for the lease transactions of over 5 million square feet. These transactions are valued at over $1 billion in rental income, creating over $10 billion in retail center values. Mr. Liberty's past experience included leasing and managing national retail chains such as Walmart and Kmart. He has also served as a development and strategic partner for major national brands such as: BJ's Wholesale Club, Home Depot, Kash-N-Karry, Lowe's Publix and Winn Dixie. Mr. Liberty is well versed in the receivership process and has worked with banks, savings & loans, and life insurance companies in the lease up, rehabilitation and sale of retail properties. Mr. Liberty's experience includes development and site selection for over 130 Movie Gallery locations, totaling over 650,000 square feet valued at over $975 million dollars. Mr. Liberty is an active member and participant in local, regional and national industry associations and serves on the Executive Council for the Retail Brokers Network (RBN), a 60+ offices nationwide network of retail brokers who work together on a regional and national level in tenant representation, investments sales and project leasing. Mr. Liberty is also an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Janet Galvin, SCLS - Partner, Brokerage & Leasing Services. Ms. Galvin has been a Licensed Real Estate Broker since 1984 specializing in the retail sector. Ms. Galvin focuses on tenant representation and assists with site selection, disposition and market positioning for local, regional and national tenants. Ms. Galvin works closely with the retailer's real estate department to create and implement a strategic plan for store development. With strong market knowledge, an extensive contact base, long term relationships and unparalleled experience, Ms. Galvin implements this expansion in an aggressive yet fiscally responsible approach with the retailer's growth objectives and financial goals in the forefront. Current clients include AT & T, Sally Beauty Supply, Firehouse Subs, Pita Pit, Sports Clips, Dots Fashions, Gamestop, South Beach Tanning, and a host of others. Ms. Galvin also has significant experience in negotiating anchor deals, land sales, ground leases and small shop leases as a Landlord representative. In the past, Ms. Galvin has represented institutional owners such as Legg Mason, AMB, Nationwide Life, Mass Mutual, and others, as well as private investors. Ms. Galvin is well versed in the receivership process and has worked with banks, savings & loans, and life insurance companies in the lease up, rehabilitation, and sale of retail properties. Ms. Galvin has been a past recipient of the Orlando Board of Realtors Circle of Achievement Award and numerous times has been named CoStar Power Broker recipient, recognizing the top leasing agents in the Central Florida market. Ms. Galvin has earned professional accreditation as a Senior Certified Leasing Specialist (SCLS) and is a CCIM candidate.
Tim Garito, LEED AP - As Senior Broker Associate, Tim's experience lies in the sales, leasing, site acquisition, tenant/buyer representation, of retail, office and industrial commercial properties. He will be handling leasing, tenant representation, outparcel sales and leasing for Liberty Universal Management. Maintaining his real estate brokerage license in the State of Florida since 2002, Tim is an active member and participant in local, regional and national industry associations, which has and will continue to maintain his continual affiliation with other professionals as well as acquiring the cutting edge knowledge necessary to assist in his clients' needs. Tim earned the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional designation (LEED AP) in 2008 and is a recognized expert in the discipline of environmental building design. As a LEED AP, he is an invaluable resource to the commercial real estate owner, investor and user. Over the past 10 years Tim has built relationships with local and national tenants including but not limited to: Bealls, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Publix, Winn-Dixie, Ross, T.J. Max, Cato, Rent-A-Center, T-Mobile, Verizon, TCBY, Subway, Radio Shack, LNR, H&R Block, and many others. He has also been involved with out parcel sales and development relating to gas station sites notably Shell and Marathon.
Linda Carrick-Warfield, SCSM, SCMD, SCLS - Broker Associate. Linda is a top-ranked commercial real estate professional with more than 30 years' of experience with commercial retail units consisting of Mixed use, Lifestyle centers, Entertainment centers, neighborhood, community and enclosed malls. She has always had a High closing rate on deals. Revenue and bottom-line orientated Linda is a well rounded professional with management, marketing and leasing experience whose strengths include Tenant Rep, Site Selection, Landlord Rep, Marketing and strong negotiation skills. Linda holds three ICSC designations, SCSM (Senior Shopping Center Manager), SCMD (Senior Shopping Center Marketing Director) and the SCLS (Senior Certified Leasing Specialists). She has been a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Florida since 1994 and a Real Estate Broker in California since 1986. Ms. Carrick-Warfield specializes in both tenant representation and landlord representation. Linda brings to the team her vast knowledge of management and Leasing. Her strengths lie in Leasing, Management, Acquisition, Sales and re-positioning shopping centers throughout the state of Florida. Prior to her joining Liberty UM, Ms. Carrick-Warfield worked for a variety of Individual investors and developers handling over 3,500,000 SF of property. In addition, Linda has been a Real Estate Broker for such national Real Estate Companies i.e. Colliers International for 8 years and Grubb & Ellis as Vice President of Retail for 9 years developing project planning and leasing for both Management and Leasing. Her portfolios consisted of both enclosed malls and grocery anchored shopping centers, mixed use properties and land in South Florida, SW Florida and Central Florida. As a third party Landlord rep, she has worked with local entrepreneurial owners, institutional owners, developers, REITS and Investors she is proficient in re-positioning and re-merchandising centers. She is an expert on in-line and big box leases plus the sale of land parcels and Renewals. As a tenant rep Linda has worked with a variety of national retailers to develop business plans and model identifying their plans on site selection and relocation. National tenants included American Apparel, Rainbow Apparel, Humana, Johnny Rockets, Ace Hardware, Massage Envy, Evos, Weight Watchers, Verizon Wireless, Medicine Shop and more. Linda is knowledgeable on the Receivership process working with a variety of Banks and Receivers to manage, lease and sell the retail properties. Linda has been an active member of ICSC for over 30 years. Linda is a member of the ICSC governing committees for the new designation of CRX and the current CLS committees, she has been a Maxi award winner and judge and currently is an ICSC faculty member for the John T. Riordan School of Professional Development teaching Leasing and Marketing for the past 6 years. She has been named Co-Star Power Broker for a number of years and is a Florida Notary. She was also named Ambassador of the Month for the I Drive chamber of Commerce. Linda is very involved in local organizations i.e. the West Orange Chamber of Commerce, Winter Park Chamber of commerce and the I Drive Chamber of Commerce and CREW (Commercial Women in Real Estate).
Paul Thomas - Associate, Commercial Leasing and Development. Mr. Thomas is a Licensed Real Estate broker with 20 years of Commercial Real Estate experience. Mr. Thomas specializes in the buying and selling of vacant land and has worked on numerous retail development projects. Retail tenants that Mr. Thomas has and continues to represent include Arby's, Quizno's, Dunkin Donuts, Baskin Robbins, Sav-A-Lot, and Pilot Travel Centers. Development projects include those anchored by Wal-Mart, Home Depot and Publix, with outparcel sales to users such as CVS, 7-11, Exxon/Mobil, Taco Bell, AM South Bank and others. Mr. Thomas' primary responsibility with Liberty Universal Management to work with Mr. Liberty on site selection, the selling of company owned sites, land development and consulting.
Jonathan G. Sieg - Broker Associate (North Florida), Commercial Leasing and Consultancy. Mr. Sieg is a Licensed Real Estate Broker, and has experience in both Landlord and Tenant representation. Jonathan started with Liberty Universal Management as a Retail Leasing Associate in June 2011 after graduating from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Finance and Real Estate. During his time as a Retail Leasing Associate, he provided third-party leasing services for the landlords of numerous retail projects across Central Florida. These projects included both anchored shopping centers, and unanchored strip centers. His strong analytical abilities and communication skills allowed him to complete many transactions for these landlords. Through his networking abilities, diligence, and skill, he also managed to successfully represent a number of tenants in site selection. In August 2012, his role with Liberty Universal Management shifted when he relocated to Gainesville, FL in order to pursue a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and a Masters of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) at the University of Florida. Jonathan is currently our North Florida Broker Associate and Consultant, and has extended our third party leasing services and tenant representation to Gainesville and surrounding areas.
Ann Freeland - Director of Property Manager, Ms. Freeland has more than sixteen (16) years of experience with Winn Dixie Stores. Her position was as Area Property Manager, overseeing more than two hundred (200) stores. She facilitated all improvements and repairs while efficiently remaining well within her fiscal budget. For the past twelve (12) years, six (6) with Winn Dixie and six (6) with Liberty, Ms. Freeland has focused specifically on retail property management. Ms. Freeland is well respected by her peers, owners, and developers in the Central Florida region and will take the lead role in expanding this component of Liberty Universal Management, Inc.
Aline Dahruj - Director of Marketing. Aline has been a part of the Liberty Universal Management team since 2012. She began as an intern and smoothly transitioned into a full-time employee in early 2013. Aline has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from the University of Florida. Her education has allowed her to adeptly produce marketing materials, head website optimization, and perform market research as well as coordinating and facilitating trade shows. In addition to her marketing responsibilities, she uses her skills and expertise to assist with property management and coordinating meetings as well as other administrative tasks. Aline has traveled extensively, is fluent in Portuguese, and can speak Spanish on a conversational level.
Jessica Etchieson, LEED AP - Real Estate Sales Associate. Jessica is a licensed Real Estate Sales Associate. She started working with the Liberty team in 2013 as a Marketing Assistant, and is now a licensed agent. Jessica earned the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional designation (LEED AP) in 2009 and is a recognized expert in the discipline of environmental building design. As a LEED AP, she is an invaluable resource to the commercial real estate owner, investor and user. She has a Batchelor's degree in Interior Design and Architecture with a specialty in Commercial, Retail and Hospitality spaces; this will be an asset within the Retail Real Estate industry.
Jane Herman, CCIM - Broker Associate. Jane's 20 year experience in retail real estate encompasses a broad range of retail services including leasing of shopping centers and tenant representation. Most recently, she held a senior leasing position with Equity One based in the Orlando market. From 2007 through 2012, she was ranked 2nd or higher in the nation annually for new lease production. Through the years, she has built strong relationships with national and regional Retailers, and the retail brokerage community. Jane completed and received her CCIM designation in 1998. She holds a Real Estate Broker's license in Florida and North Carolina. She has been an active member of ICSC, CREW, WIRRED and Ladies in the Biz.
Sara Sciortino - Assistant Property Manager. Ms. Sciortino attended Butler University receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Arts Administration with a concentration in Dance. Sara joined the Liberty team in 2013. She has over 10 years in bookkeeping experience working in multiple industries. Her bookkeeping background has been in for profit dance studios, subcontract construction, and wholesale and retail sign production. She attributes her wide range of experience and her extensive training in daMeet the Liberty Universal Management Teamnce to her ability to learn quickly and adapt easily.
Zack McNamara - Associate, Commercial Leasing and Sales. Mr. McNamara recently joined Liberty Universal Management and is a Licensed Real Estate Associate. Zack started in the property management division of Liberty Universal where he furthered his knowledge of the Orlando retail market and utilized his extensive problem solving and communication skills. He has since transitioned into the brokerage division and will provide leasing services for various retail projects across Central Florida, along with tenant representation. Zack received a BBA in Finance with a minor in Marketing from Auburn University.
